Autumn Sayre
Home is where the heart is and where Autumn Sayre, an applied and environmental microbiology graduate from Fairmont, West Virginia, chose to attend college.
Sayre believes the Applied and Environmental Microbiology program offered through the Davis College provided her the educational background needed for jobs in the health field.
She liked the Davis College and the Division of Plant and Soil Sciences because the class sizes are small and she was able to develop relationships with her professors.
She also experienced the “nuts and bolts” of microbiology by participating in undergraduate research.
After earning her master’s degree from WVU, Sayre went on to work at NIOSH in the exposure assessment branch.
