Matt Shultz, an alumnus of the horticulture program, is a nursery grower for the well-known nursery Conrad-Pyle.

He was featured on the cover of Nursery Management and Production magazine for being instrumental in the implementation of an integrated pest management system at the Maryland nursery, a concept he was inspired to embrace while at WVU.

“All of my courses helped to not only teach me invaluable skills for my field of work but also helped to teach me how to think and apply these skills to the real world and industry related problems, to think innovatively and outside the box,” he said.
