Research
As a land-grant institution, one of West Virginia University’s primary objectives is research. Agricultural research is carried out throughout the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design and at research facilities throughout the state.
In the Division of Plant and Soil Sciences Faculty and staff are involved in many productive and diverse research projects that not only generate research-based knowledge but also promote, support, and encourage the transfer of this research to the public. Our researchers make new discoveries and also help search for solutions to existing problems that will impact and benefit the people in West Virginia and other places in the world.
